From May 1 to 28, 2026, the 7th China-CEEC Local Leaders' Meeting & 2026 Shandong International Friendship City Cooperation and Exchange Week was grandly held in Jinan and Linyi, Shandong Province. Co-hosted by the People's Government of Shandong Province, the Secretariat for China-CEEC Cooperation, and the Federation of China-CEEC Governors, the event themed "Join Hands for a Shared Future" featured 23 series of activities, including an opening ceremony, the China-CEEC Local Leaders' Dialogue, a Governors' High-Level Dialogue, a High-Quality Development Comprehensive Promotion Conference, Enterprise Matching and Negotiation Sessions, and a Friendship City Premium Products Exhibition. It aimed to deepen practical economic and trade cooperation and international industrial exchanges between China, Central and Eastern European (CEEC) countries, and international friendship cities.

As a renowned importer of Australian food products in China, Ms. Huang Fengying, Managing Director of Guangzhou Gafeit International Trade Co., Ltd. (Gafeit), was invited to attend a number of key activities of the conference as part of the Queensland Government Trade and Investment-led Queensland Business Delegation. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Australia’s Trade Australia Pty Ltd., the company specializes in importing high-quality Australian food products, dedicated to bringing premium Australian goods and advanced health and nutrition concepts to the Chinese market.

On May 26, a grand opening ceremony was held at Shandong Mansion. State Councilor Chen Yiqun attended and delivered an important speech. Ms. Huang Fengying, together with all members of the Queensland Business Delegation, attended the opening ceremony and listened to the important arrangements and prospects for deepening strategic alignment between China, CEEC countries, and international friendship cities.

During the subsequent High-Quality Development Comprehensive Promotion Conference, the Queensland Government Trade and Investment delivered a keynote speech titled "Queensland Investment Opportunities – A Golden Decade Towards 2032", systematically elaborating on Queensland’s long-term investment opportunities and development plans tied to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games, and fully showcasing Queensland’s core strengths as a dynamic and promising investment destination in the Asia-Pacific region.

Conducting Precise and Efficient Cooperation, Facilitating China-Australia Food Trade

At the Enterprise Matching and Negotiation Sessions held the same day, Ms. Huang Fengying, along with enterprise representatives from the Queensland Business Delegation, engaged in fruitful exchanges and negotiations with entrepreneurs from Shandong and multiple international friendship cities. The delegation’s enterprises covered agriculture and food, biomedicine, consumer goods, architectural design, and other sectors. During the sessions, Ms. Huang detailed Guangzhou Gafeit’s professional strengths in importing healthy Australian food products, conducted in-depth discussions with multiple potential partners on market expansion and channel co-building, and initially explored various possibilities for business collaboration.

Ms. Huang Fengying stated: "China is entering a new stage of implementing the 15th Five-Year Plan, which not only provides broad development space for global partners including CEEC countries but also creates new growth opportunities for China-Australia food trade cooperation. We will continue to act as a bridge, bringing more high-quality healthy Australian food products to Chinese consumers."

Exploring Linyi Mall, Expanding Northern China’s Commercial Network

On May 28, Ms. Huang Fengying accompanied the Queensland Business Delegation to Linyi, a major commodity distribution hub in northern China, to attend the Linyi Mall Thematic Promotion & Industrial Matching Conference hosted by the People’s Government of Linyi City. At the promotion conference, Sallie Liu, Business Director of Queensland Government Trade and Investment, emphasized that Linyi, known as "China’s Market City", boasts a vast commercial and logistics network. Queensland’s premium agricultural products, especially beef, seafood, and healthy snacks, hold great potential to enter northern China’s market through Linyi’s logistics hub.

Ms. Huang Fengying fully agreed with this view. She noted that Guangzhou Gafeit has long focused on Australian food imports, with its represented Majans snack series and other products well-received in the Chinese market. Leveraging Linyi’s logistics advantages as a commercial hub, the company will further expand its presence in northern China, enabling more Chinese consumers to enjoy healthy and delicious products from Australia.

Looking Ahead, Continuing to Deepen China-Australia Trade Cooperation

During the event, the Queensland Business Delegation also paid special business visits to Shandong Hi-Speed Group and Shandong Port Group, engaging in practical discussions on resource complementarity and logistics channel optimization. Ms. Huang Fengying actively participated in relevant exchanges and discussed optimized solutions for the company’s product import logistics needs with the enterprises.

Through in-depth participation in the conference, Ms. Huang Fengying and Guangzhou Gafeit further expanded their commercial network in North China and strengthened ties with partners in Shandong and international friendship cities.
